1- City of Calabasas Community Wildfire Protection Plan workshop
The City of Calabasas held its second Community Wildfire Protection Plan last week It’s very noteworthy as we’re moving closer to developing a formal authentic plan that can be used to better protect our city from wildfire occurrences and can also be used to in conjunction with submittals for Federal and State grant funds. The city will now prepare a draft Plan. This plan will include public comments and ideas that supported fire safety and resilience. Once completed, the city will then hold an additional 2 public meetings to hear public comment, suggestions, and criticism. It’s expected the draft plan will be completed by June 2026 and public meetings held shortly thereafter. Your GMHA will provide updates as they become available and keep members informed as this effort progresses.
